Our reformer class is ideal for low-impact recovery and injury rehabilitation. It is more effective in isolating more muscles, elongating the spine, joints and muscles than in Mat Pilates.
The initial private session is a personal assessment from top to toe and generally takes 90 minutes. It assesses current posture, mobility, strengths and weaknesses. This forms the basis for your personalised program going forward.
The Pilates reformer is a traditional piece of Pilates equipment which looks like a bed with springs, a sliding carriage, ropes and pulleys. The origins of the Pilates Reformer date back to the original Pilates studio in New York in the 1920's and was designed by Joseph Pilates himself.
“Sharon's Pilates classes are absolutely fantastic. She is a great instructor, very patient, observant and she normally tailors all exercises giving multiple options with difficulty level to cater for individual needs. I started classes with Sharon 2+ yrs and I have seen huge improvements in my posture, my strength and overall fitness.
She goes above and beyond to help with situations, we never feel rushed in her classes and its something I look forward to every week. if you are looking for an brilliant instructor you have found one here, no need to look beyond”
